Family Media prides itself in creating and publishing compelling media on all possible channels that inspires and encourages our audience to have a meaningful relationship with Christ and to build up a daily relationship with Jesus. To achieve this, we wish to fill the following vacancies:

  1. GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce high quality still and motion graphics for our different platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop visual content that aligns with our brand identity.
  • Understand project requirements and create visuals that effectively communicate ideas and concepts.
  • Ensure consistency in design across all platforms and mediums.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, tools and design techniques to keep our creative output fresh and modern.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Have at least a diploma in Graphic Design or related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and diverse design work.
  • Have knowledge in photography, 3D compositing, communication design.
  • Skills in video editing and web design tools is an added advantage.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and adapt designs accordingly
  • Have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to cope with several projects at a time.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as being part of a team.
  • Have good presentation skills and the confidence to explain ideas to clients and colleagues.

2. VIDEO EDITOR

Responsibilities

  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is visible to the audience
  • Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications
  • Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the production
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
  • Create rough and final cuts
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
  • Archive our content well

Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience in video editing
  • Have solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. After Effects, Final Cut)
  • Have a diploma or degree in video editing, film studies or related field
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills

3. PLAY-OUT TECHNICIAN TRAINEE

We wish to hire a Play–Out Technician Trainee who will learn to create playlists, ensure that the shows aired are broadcast quality, monitor the signal, direct shows, among other duties.

Requirements:

  • Have at least a Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering or in a related field
  • Be computer literate
  • Must have a positive attitude and be willing to learn
  • Be a person of integrity, self-driven and passionate

Interested candidates must possess the following:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong sense of initiative, requiring minimal supervision
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to exercise sound judgment in decision making
  • Good problem solving skills

4. CAMERA PERSON

Position Overview: As a Camera Person, you’ll be responsible for operating cameras to capture high-quality footage for various projects. You’ll work closely with our production team to ensure that our vision is translated into stunning visuals that engage our audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate cameras to capture footage according to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to understand show objectives and deliver the desired visual aesthetic.
  • Set up and adjust camera equipment to achieve the desired composition, focus, and lighting.
  • Ensure that camera settings are optimized for different shooting conditions and environments.
  • Maintain and care for camera equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Follow safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks during shoots.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Stay updated on the latest camera technologies and techniques to enhance production capabilities.
  • Direct studio and on-location productions.
  • Maintain all areas related to studio and prop room.
  • Contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance the visual storytelling process.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a camera operator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of cameras and related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and visual storytelling principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and passionate about media.
  • Knowledge of post-production processes is a plus.
