Greetings, in the name of Jesus Christ our Saviour. My name is Brian. I want to thank you for bringing the life-giving and life-changing Good news of Jesus Christ to Kenya. My mother used to watch Family TV often, but I didn’t understand why she loved it so much. At that time I was a teenager in High school striving to perform well in school and learning life lessons from her. As years went by, I started to understand why she wouldn’t miss watching Family TV programs. She was looking for hope. Life for her and I was a bit tough, but good for the most part. She was a single mother raising a teenage boy. She did her best and taught me many life skills and lessons that have positively shaped my life. If it were not for her, and Family TV, I know I wouldn’t have the love and kindness that I have for people today.

Among the 10 people on Family TV that have greatly contributed to who I am today are:

1.Joyce Meyer has helped me to become a mature, joyful, faithful Christian.

2.Paula White has taught me about purpose and how I can accomplish my God-given purpose against all odds.

3.Joel Osteen has encouraged me with hope and taught me that I am important, loved and favoured by God.

4.Randy Morrison has showed me the importance of making good decisions and adding value in all areas of my life.

5.T.D Jakes has taught me how to take charge of my future and bounce back from tough situations.

6.Robert Schuler has taught me to never let go of hope and to never give up. I’ve also learned that life may not always be fair, but God is always good.

7.Jesse Duplantis has showed me the value of faith, vision and the purpose of godly prosperity.

8.Creflo Dollar has helped me to renew my mind and honour God.

9.Joseph Prince has taught me God’s grace, goodness and that I am greatly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved.

I have saved the best for last. Let me tell you about the

10th person: This person has positively affected not just my life, but lives of generations to come because their parents are today being changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

This person loves Kenya and, a number of years ago, he started what the inspirational author Andy Andrews calls “The Butterfly Effect,” where the good actions of one person produce positive impact in the lives of others, and encourage good actions from others, consequently resulting in a great good future for many people.

This caring person trusted God to accomplish His God–given purpose. So in July 1999, he started a Christian media company in Kenya, with no huge amounts of money in his pockets, but with a lot of love in his heart. He trusted God to provide for the vision of bringing life-transforming, God-inspired programs to Kenya and Africa.

I am now 24 years old and this kind man has made a difference in my life, that of Kenyans, and the lives of future generations through his obedient, selfless and good act of starting Family Media. This beloved man of God has made me who I am today—a born again youth with love, peace, and purpose. This faithful man that I’m writing about is you, Mr. Slingerland.

Glory to God! Thank you and all partners and employees of TBN Family Media. What a difference people can make when they have love, vision, determination and faith in God! Everyday I make sure I watch Family TV to get spiritual nourishment, insight and entertainment. Thank you again and again.
