The Meaning of the Resurrection of Jesus

Jesus Christ was tortured and crucified. He had predicted his own death and had prepared his people for this. The ancient prophet Isaiah had written about the lamb that would be slain even though blameless and pure.

The prophecies were fulfilled and Jesus gave up his life as he hung on the cross. It was a dark day that had to be so if salvation was to be attained. This is therefore the eternal significance of resurrection. Through faith, people who follow Christ sincerely in their hearts know that after death, there is a wonderful place prepared. Heaven will not have troubles like the current imperfect world. It will be a place where God is the light in which all is perfect. This is the final place for people who choose the path of Jesus.

Resurrection after the third day sealed the fate of mankind and those who choose to follow Christ will not be disappointed for all eternity.
